San Diego Zoo - Leo

Have you ever wanted to go to San Diego, because our class traveled through the virtual tour to the San Diego zoo. We'll  take you on a trip with the virtual world. I really like the Polar bears, the Panda and the Lion cubs.

 First  Susan told us that unique Polar bears in San Diego zoo live in Polar bear plunge. The day that I watched the video when it was snow day for Polar bears. One Polar bear named Takek, slid down the hill almost slid down into the little river. When the polar bears play in the snow they turn the color that the bacteria is.

 The next thing I watched was Chinese,and he loves to eat Bamboo. It's the Panda. Pandas have giant amounts of curiosity. The Panda cubs come out into the Panda exhibit. Pandas are chubby black & white four legged animals. 

Last I watched The Lion cubs' CUTE!' and playful.Ken & Dixie are the newest Lion cubs. Ken & Dixie weighed 3 pounds when they were born, in a few years the 2 twins could be 300-500 pounds. They both have sharp claws and teeth that grow as they get older.

The San Diego zoo was great. I loved watching the videos of the Pandas, the Polar bears and the two Lion cubs. It was stupendous watching the videos.

1. Introduction	Have you ever wanted to go on a virtual trip? Well we went on a virtual trip to the San Diego zoo. We watched videos about the animals there. I liked the clever Egyptian vulture, the cute Armadillo and the humongous Komodo dragon.
2. Body Paragraph 1	Egyptian vulture The first animal that I had interest in was the Egyptian vulture. The zoo keeper Jenny taught me a lot about Egyptian vultures. All vultures eat rotten food and love eggs but not all vultures have no hair on their head. The Egyptian vulture is not like other vultures because it has feathers on it's head and also eats cleaner food than normal vultures like worms, insects, lizards, rats, rabbits and rotten fruit. With no vultures the world would be a smiler place because they eat smelly rotten meat that is left over from other animals. Egyptian vultures would crack an ostrich's egg by hitting it with a rock a couple of times. As you can see Egyptian vultures are really cool and clever how it uses a rock as a tool! And is really interesting.
3. Body Paragraph 2	Armadillo The next thing that interested me was the cute armadillo. The zoo keeper Kyn taught me a lot about armadillos and how their scales are made out of the same material as your nail. Did you that the armadillos are hard on the outside and soft on the inside and the pattern on it's head is different to others. On the armadillos proper body are long hair like wires that help them feel around at night which is really helpful because the armadillo has really bad eye sight. To protect itself it turns into a ball with only it's armor is showing. When it's time to eat it uses its little claws and good sense of smell to find and get food. Armadillos eat special pellets,vegetables , fruit, and meal worms. Armadillos are cute and very friendly as you can see.
4. Body Paragraph 3	Komodo dragon The third animal that I liked was the Komodo dragon. Zoo keeper Ken taught me a lot about Komodo dragons. Komodo dragons are like the king of lizards because it can get up to ten feet long and way up to 175 pounds! Komodo dragons have a fork like tongue just like a snake so it can smell one mile away. People say that the more Komodo dragons smell us the more it will want to eat us! .Komodo dragons eat anything they can find in the wild but their main priority is dear but at the zoo they eat rats, rabbits and beef shake and for a treat he gets eggs. Komodo dragons eat food in one giant gulp. Komodo dragons are so fascinating and extremely intelligent.
5. Conclusion	I like the San Diego zoo because it has so many cute and fascinating animals that I love!

My Trip to the Hospital - Micah

My Trip to the Hospital

Today was the day I was going to Saint George's Hospital. My mum told me I’m not allowed to eat after 7.30 or to drink after 11.00.

When garden club went out to Rob we did some work in the garden. Rob said “go and pick some berries and carrots to take home” so we all ran over to do exactly that. I had forgotten about what mum said and picked 3 berries, 1 tomato and a strawberry. I was just about to get a carrot when I realized that I had eaten some food.

I ran like the flash and headed straight for Mrs Boswell who was at the office with a whole lot of little kids and one of them had fallen over (I think).

Mrs Boswell asked me if I was okay. I replied, “I ate some food by accident”. So she rang mum and told her about it. Mum said she will call later. About 15 min later she came to pick me up.We drove through town and into my room but we didn't smash through the whole thing. That would be CRAZY.

The lady led me to my room. Room 5 was my room. It was my room until 7.00 in the morning on Thursday. There was a T.V. that I could watch if I wanted to. After 10 min’s the nurse came in and put some cream on the top of my hand so I could get a blood test. At 4.30 it was time to go have my surgery . They put a warm blanket on my bed to keep me warm so warm like the sun. They pushed me to this room that I had to wait there until they were ready for the surgery. About 10 minutes later I was able to be pushed into the theater to have surgery. They put some gas into me so I can go to sleep.

After I woke up I was given a ice block to get my taste back to normal.I had a bandage on to stop the blood. I was taking back to my room to chill and watch TV. I had to stay there for the night so I didn't have any problems at home. In the morning my surgeon came to take off my bandage and it hurt so much. About an hour later I was able to go home….and sleep. When I got home I slept for about 3 hours. When I woke up it was time to pick up my sister from school. When It was tea time I was not able to eat so I didn't eat anything for a week…. Almost.

I got back to school on the following Thursday. Everyone wanted to see my ear. This is a end of a long life mistake.

The fantastic Margaret Mahy playground

The Margaret Mahy playground is directly in the middle of the city of Christchurch by my dad's work. The playground has a big slide, a climbing hill and a big spider net longer than a bus. The playground is designed big so everyone can have fun and the adults can join in with their child.

The big slide is the feature of the playground because it uses a massive space and it is the most popular place. At the top of the slide it looks extremely steep and dangerous. When you go down it is super cold on a cold day but on a warm day it is unbelievably hot.

The climbing hill is designed with special lizards to help you climb it when it's slippery. The climbing hill is made out of rubber and on top of it is fake grass. The slide leads up to the peak of the hill where the big slide and two tunnel slides are. On a wet day it is slippery and on a warm day you can walk up it with no problems. The climbing hill looks enormously steep from the bottom but at the top it does not look as steep.

Within the boundaries of the magnificent Margaret Mahy playground the spider net sits right next to the big slide. The spider net is made out of thickened rope and metal hinges shaped as a sphere. Under the climbing net there are ropes with tiny platforms to stand on and some super uncomfortable hammocks.

Everyone goes to the Margaret Mahy playground because it has a ton of exciting things to go on. You can  have family picnics on the big hills in the Margaret Mahy playground. The Margaret Mahy playground is extremely safe and stable. I like the Margaret Mahy playground because it is humongous and safe.

"How's your swimmin'?" My Uncle asks me, his loud, firm voice echoes in my ear. "If I fall in the water, I won't drown!" I yell back, I swiftly slide myself down the towering ladder. We were at the fishing dock, I was lowering myself carefully into my Uncle's boat. If there was no boat there, I would be soaking, wet and swimming with the fishes in the seemingly infinite waters.

Safely on the boat, my uncle opened his boating log and wrote down something. (I wasn't looking… Or caring.) Once done he placed the log down, walked out onto the deck and told me a fact about the "pesky little" seagulls. It felt awkward… Very awkward. Jokes were and still are, my Uncles great talent. "I will now make a container MAGICALLY appear," he announces. Yet magic wasn't his great talent, I had an eccentric look on my face…

He then proceeded to pull a container out from under a trapdoor on the boat. I clapped sarcastically and said "WHOA, WHAT!" My uncle opened the container, and I nearly puked. It was full of literal… FISH MUCUS! No gloves on, he started filling a transparent bag full of said mucus to use as bait. That's why he said the fact about seagulls, the fact was that "the (pesky little) seagulls swoop in and steal fish bait thrown into the water."

Seagulls were squeaking and squealing around our boat, this could mean only one thing. They had smelt the fish bait! I was about to take cover until my Uncle scared them away. Hizzah! I have now embarrassed myself... AGAIN. I groaned in despair, 'till suddenly he asked me if I had wanted to see over 20 oysters caught in one cage. He then states, "I will now pull this magic rope..." I sighed. It was going to be a long… day.

The terrifying face turned to a tomato Dad,s hand was clenched like he was going to punch me.

The fantastic Margaret Mahy Playground - Hayley

Yesterday the 16th of may 2016 we went to the fantastic Margaret Mahy playground. At the park there was a big gigantic slide up a hill. To get up the hill there was some things that you could hold on to to get up because it was so huge and steep ish.

Some people like me could get up without holding on to anything! We went on the school bus and on the bus it was super noisy.

I was in Nina's group with Hayley HB, Gloria, Kyla and Chloe T.

First we got out of the bus and lined up in our groups and waited for a bit then we went to go sit down on the blue mats to have our morning tea.

After that we went for a walk to the Gap Filler and played for about ten minutes to see if we could get any ideas for what we want at our new school in wigram. There was lots of obstacles there to play on.

Then we walked back to the playground and had lunch then we got to play well the juniors went for a walk as well.

Next the juniors got back and we all played together and had lots of fun.

Finally we all got back on the buses and I fell asleep on the bus. Then we got back to school and had some playtime and then we talked about the stuff we liked.

My favourite part was the two flying foxes, the big metal slide, the sandpit area and the trampolines. There were two flying foxes so you could race each other on them. I raced Adelaide for a bit. It was funny because Mr Barrow went on the flying fox and raced someone which wasn't Adelaide or I. I think he versed someone younger than Adelaide and I. I really wish I could go back to the playground.

I think that the Margaret Mahy playground was the best playground ever! I love it. Thank you to all the parents who gave up your work to help us be able to go. It was awesome!

Chapter 1

Getting a job.

One day i was in Class-D the prisoners class but then it my name was called out of the most loudest speaker ever! The crazy speaker said Chris Chambers Class-D Member report to the MTF Commanding Officer now i went with a SCPF Security guard to his office.

Chapter 2

Being part of the MTF

Then the commander said hey there Chris you are now part of the Mobile-Task-Force and my new title is now Chris (MTF) (MVP) it was crazy xD and i was never un respected again!

Chapter 3

Geting are weapons

I was welcomed to the Mobile-Group and the Mobile Security two but the first thing I was told to go to was armoury to get a are weapons they were a P90,Cloak 17,Mp5 and that was all of them and the coolest part was me getting a heavy duty armour and heavy duty helmet and my IvI 1 Key card IvI 2 Key card IvI 10 Key card and that was all.

Chapter 4

Going in the Heavy Contaminant area

So when I got my stuff I went to the  Heavy Contaminant area and only the Mobile-Task-Force were the only Team who had access but the Mobile-Administrator and access to every room.

Chapter 5

Mobile-Administrator's Job

His job is to make the Mobile-Task-Force and the Mobile-Security even and when a SCP Test escapes he will sand all the alarms plus he gets to go to all the Mobile-Meetings with all the Administrators and  Commanders.

Chapter 6

Having lunch with all the Class-D Members

L went to go have lunch and when I got there PRISONERS were looking like they were going to take over the LUNCH ROOM But that would never happen 1 There were 40 Mobile-Security Officers and 80 Mobile-Task-Force People they were all geared up that's for sure!

Killing one of my friends

Having to sadly Essu Acute one of my best friends when l was part of the Class-D :( but l wasn't shooting him or whatever they do l was still on the job so I never saw him again.

SCP 991

So when I was in the lunchroom with the prisoners the hole Mobile-Group was could by Administrator First class said all  Mobile-Task-Force members immediately report to Heavy catamint SCP 991 right now so I rushed to the Heavy catamint and cell 991 when

L got there SCP 991 WAS GONE!!!

Chapter 9

They were gone

When we all found out that SCP 991 was gone the security went up and the mobile-Group went up two

But on that day lots of the security officers started to go missing and then we all seted up a trap and then we waited and waited then we heard a bang and a crash so we all went in are place's.

Then we got him so everyone stood up and aimed there P90's and Aug A1, Aug A2,Aug A3 and Aug HBAR were ready to shoot and then the MTF leader said FIRE!!! We all shoot and it was mayhem then SCP 991 was knocked out so we put him back into his cell.

Getting Fired!

So l went to my MTF Cando and then when I was just about to get in my condo I was called and it said chris chambers is fired so I left the building for ever!

Writing is all about putting ideas into sentences and talking about what you did, when you did it, who you did it with, how you do it, and why you did it.These things help you explain your writing.

You can do it in a writing book, on a whiteboard, or if you have a google account, you can do it in docs. Writing can be about your favourite movie/book character, write about anything in your imagination.You can also draw a picture above your writing or below. When you are writing in a book, use a pen. But when you're drawing, use a pencil.

To make a very descriptive and accurate writing, you add adjectives.These little fellas are important to add. Adjectives are about making boring words into great words. For example, you could describe the word "good" like this: fantastically good, and that's how you do it! Isn't it wonderful!

There's another thing that's also important.Full stops and capitals. At the start of each sentence, there is always a capital! No capital is a stupendous fail.The last thing is the full stop.The full stop is always at the end of a sentence. If you can't find one at the end of a sentence, you are a big failure.You should never forget these things.

The last thing is to stay calm and focused so you can finish straight away. If you make a mistake, don't panic!

This  stimulating character description will discuss everyone's favourite mortal kombat character sub-zero.

Sub-zero is coloured… blue with specks of grey and  white hips. His fortifying hair is not to be shown people say he has white hair. His eyes glow white in the snow. His skin tone is very DARK white. His robe design is right sided lines heading towards his neck.

Sub-zero shares his blood with his loyal,trustworthy brother scorpion.

He loves defeating are characters in mortal kombat x. This character is well known for his strength and ability of ice strike. Sub-zero can freeze five enemies in 5 to 10 seconds!!!.  

When there is a fight Sub-zero can't resist joining it. He likes scorpion A LOT when it comes to brotherhood. He likes his actions but others don't.

Scorpion facts

Scorpion is a reptile and shares blood with his loyal and loved brother sub-zero. He loves his cabin full of spider-webs. Scorpion is half human and half reptile and calls himself scorpion for a reason he strikes poison everywhere. That is all i know about scorpion.

Minecraft facts

Herobrine does not exist on XBOX 360 and and some PLAY-STATIONS. Steve and alex have lots and lots of skins as well as star-wars , doctor who , stampy wolrd , skin packs 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 and 6 , beast skin packs and others. Elizabeth was whisking her banana chocolate chip cookie dough when it splashed all over the kitchen. "Oh no!" Elizabeth said. She had to clean it all up. Then when she finished tidying up she made a new one. Then when she was finished she passed it to Jack.

Jack rolled the dough out as flat as a wall, then he passed it to Rachel.

Rachel used the shape cutters to cut the dough into shapes like beautiful love hearts, stars and  circles. Then she put the chocolate chip cookies into the steaming hot oven.

When it had finished cooking Rachel pulled it out of the oven and they all ate it all up. Yum!!!  

Margaret Mahy playground - Harry

On Monday we had a journey to the Margaret Mahy playground. My mum was helping with the parent help. Jen, Chris, Cody, Coby and Leo were my group. Then we walked a short distance to the yellow bus. I was really excited for this trip. It took awhile to get there but we made it. When we were there it took about 12 minutes for the line  to get ready. When we were ready we were going to this optical course. It was really fun there was mini golf and there was a piano. My group played both of the mini golf's. After that we walked back to the Margaret Mahy playground and we had something to eat. And after that we played on the playground. My group played on the gigantic slide and it was really fun.After that Chris Coby and i played on the flying fox we all had one go and then we went back on the big slid about the forth time i dashed down i landed on my sore it really hurt really bad I had to go too one of my teachers with the health bag. I showed her my sore and there was blood everywhere. I told my mum and she took care of me. When that was over we had lunch and i had homemade chocolate cake and i made it  myself. When that was over we played in the water park and i got my feet all wet.

On Monday all of Sockburn School including me piled on the bus to go to Margaret Mahy's playground. We left at 9:30 in the morning. When we got there we had morning tea.

After morning tea we went for a walk to Gap Filler HQ. When we got there we had to listen to an instructor. When she finished talking we got to play for 10 minutes, so Micah played the piano.Then we did a parkour race. We did it the wrong way.

After the Gap filler, we went back to Margaret Mahy park of madness. We played for an hour I think. I was on a relaxing swing, then my leg got stuck under the swing and pulled a muscle and twisted my ankle. It hurt  a lot. After I had done that I went down the slide and fell on my face. So I went down the slide again but I was lucky this time and slid on my feet. Then we had lunch for about 30 minutes or so. Then we went on the flying fox. We raced each other then we went on the big slide. Bjanka went down it too. It is a dangerous slide - so be careful on the big slide.

On Monday 16th of May the whole entire school went to the Margaret Mahy playground. We took the bus to the Margaret Mahy playground and I was seated next to Nikita. And we got there at 10:20 and we got off and ate something and after that the juniors  played on the playground while the seniors walked to the HQ. where there are mini golf, piano, big ball, obstacle course's then after 10-20 mins we were going to go to the. Dance mat but we were a little late so the teachers decide not to go so instead we stayed there for another 10mins and when we walked back to the playground I could. smell coffee food and I could feel the breeze trying to make it rain when .we got back to the playground the Juniors went to the HQ. And it was time for the seniors got go on the playground and some adults on it to.

Rachel started to energetically stir the gooey choco chip  batter into a dribbly mess while her long skinny arms absorbed her disgusting dribbly sweat.

Betty slowly rolled the choco chip batter while the crunchy chocolate chips crunched like a parrot crunching on a cracker.

Jesse sliced all the cookie dough into adorable valentine and christmas theme shapes.

Rachel finally put the delicious looking cookies in the hot desert like oven, finally  she took the deliciously smelling chocolate chip cookie out.

Ending comment:

They all went to get some whip cream and toppings for the cookies i was the only one there so I ate all the cookies! When they came back oh no………

Julian our cat ate all the cookies. Shh i blamed it on the cat.

Baking Cookies Too Fast!

Blurble! Abby had to bake 2 dozen chocolate chip cookies fast, so she turned the electric beater on to full SPEED!

Then she rolled the dough so fast that it almost fell off the sticky green bench.

Then she shaped the cookies so fast that the edges were crazy crooked.

Finally she was able to take them out of the oven and try one but they tasted like soap.

She had to do it all again only faster!
